Pentatonix’s Brand New Spin On John Lennon’s Classic Is Putting Tears in Everyone’s Eyes

Unless you’ve been living under a rock all this time, chances are you know who Pentatonix is very well. The five-member American a cappella group from Arlington, Texas pretty much rule the Internet every time they release a new video, and this is no exception.
The group used their latest music video to send a powerful message about inclusivity and the Internet was quick to respond. The members of the group wanted to do something truly special and personal for their cover of the John Lennon classic “Imagine”, and this is how this video came to life.
In it, each of the members can be seen holding up a sign with a word that defines them personally. Words like “LGBTQ+,” “Man,” “Jewish,” “American,” “Black,” “Christian,” “Latina” and “Woman” are all included.
But then, when the signs get flipped to reveal the other side, we can see a more general word that can be used to describe a larger group of people. The message is simple as it is powerful: we are all different, but at the end of the day, we are all in this together. The things that bring us together and make us the same are as many and as important as those that make us different.
Everybody should see this!
