Penguin swims 5,000 miles every year for reunion with the man who saved his life!

It’s the tale of a South American Magellanic penguin who swims 5,000 miles every year to be brought together with the man who spared his life.

Resigned bricklayer and low maintenance angler Joao Pereira de Souza, 71, who lives in an island town simply outside Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, found the modest penguin, canvassed in oil and near death, lying on rocks on his neighborhood shoreline in 2011.

Following a week, he attempted to discharge the penguin once again into the ocean. Yet, the flying creature wouldn’t take off. ‘He remained with me for 11 months and after that, soon after he changed his jacket with new quills, he vanished,’ Joao reviews.
