Children are curious, they like asking a lot of questions, meeting new people and learning new things.
And the adorable little girl in the video below named Lilian makes no exception.
In a video posted by the Hingham Police Department in Massachusetts, we can see 4-year-old Lilian walking towards a police officer who was eating dinner alone and taking a seat at his table. The outgoing toddler approached the officer and asked him if they could have dinner together.
The chatty little girl asked him a bunch of questions about what it’s like to be a police officer and catch the bad guys, questions Sergeant Steven Dearth was more than happy to answer. In a Facebook post, the police officer described his time spent with the adorable little girl as “the best dinner date ever.”
The two also made plans to see each other again as soon as possible for another dinner date.
With all the negative coverage police officers have been getting lately, it’s important to share videos like these to show that the majority of policemen are actually kind people who love interacting with those in the communities they are serving.
