Dad Starts Playing Guitar. But When She Starts Singing This 1973 Classic, Everyone’s Covered With Chills

“Jolene” is probably one of Dolly Parton’s most famous and most loved songs. Released in 1973, the powerful love ballad about a woman begging another woman not to steal her man has been performed by countless artists over the years.
Miley Cyrus did a rendition of the song, as well as Pentatonix, and the list could go on forever. Now, a new version of the song is causing quite a stir online, and it’s for sure one of the best performances we’ve heard in a while.
The artist singing the song is a young woman called Alexandra Kay. Accompanied on guitar by her extremely talented father, Alexandra managed to give the song a personal note, while still doing the original version justice.
Her passion for country music really shines through, and she is obviously enjoying singing one of the best country ballads ever created. What’s more, Alexandra is actually a songwriter herself, a skill she began to work on improving when she was only 15 years old.
Now, her hope is to become a big country music star, and we have to say, she has everything it takes to get to the top.
